Empowered Youth is a non-profit organization serving at-risk boys between the ages of 13 and 18 in the Miami area. Founded in 2006 by Colleen Adams, the Empowered Youth Neighborhood Program offers DJJ-approved Botvin Life Skills curriculum, mentors, tutors, family meetings, support, resources, and opportunities for youth to be successful.

Empowered Youth’s Founder and Executive Director, Colleen Adams, also launched the for-profit entity, Empowered Youth Entrepreneurs, in order to create jobs for Empowered Youth’s students and graduates. Empowered Youth Entrepreneurs teaches entrepreneurial skills and provides jobs for students that allow them to legally earn money and create a better future for themselves.

QuarterCompany assists Empowered Youth with grant budgeting, as well as a variety of financial management services. In addition, QuarterCompany staff has offered mentoring to those served by the organization, as well as developed the financial infrastructure for Empowered Youth Entrepreneurs.
